Ideal for an anniversary or Valentine’s Day, this image reimagines the fairytale rose as a digital-age desire object - held tenderly, yet ominously, by two lacquered hands. The bloom is perfect, plush, but its captors are rubbery and opaque, more latex than lace. Stein stages the tension between romance and fetish, softness and control. Love here is stylized, self-aware, and scented with post-internet longing.
