Noah Latif Lamp is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist based in Amsterdam and London. His work spans sculpture, installation, performance, and oil painting, often described as a raw and confrontational reflection of real life. Motivated by a relentless curiosity about societal structures and human behavior, Lamp frequently immerses himself in controversial and often contradictory contexts - challenging conventional norms through both form and action.
His work has been exhibited internationally, including solo presentations such as New Life (Tommy Simoens, Antwerp, 2022), N.F.$ (Basel, 2022), and Killing Time (2021), as well as institutional exhibitions at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and CC Strombeek in Belgium. In 2024, he presented Missing with Tommy Simoens and participated in the Tokyo Biennale, further cementing his commitment to global, socially charged dialogues.
Lamp's practice is deeply personal and often autobiographical, exploring themes of identity, memory, and transformation. His use of unconventional materials and methods - such as painting with crocodile skin or incorporating explosives into his creative process - pushes the boundaries of traditional art-making and invites viewers to confront uncomfortable truths about the world and themselves.
