Mariia Vdovychenko is a Ukrainian artist whose monochrome ballpoint-pen drawings reveal the fragile terrain of memory, intimacy, and endurance. Working across drawing, performance, and photography, she transforms everyday gestures into meditations on time and self-perception. Her practice bridges the personal and the historical, tracing the emotional landscapes of Eastern Ukraine and the quiet persistence of the body in exile.
Over more than a decade, she has exhibited widely across Ukraine and Germany, including solo exhibitions at Pfund & Dollar Gallery and Nachladen Hamburg, and group projects such as Firestarter at MEGA Art Platform. Her ongoing series #slow_pulse_girl and Sad Shtarik extend her reflection on human vulnerability, using repetition and restraint as acts of both resistance and care.
