Costanza Starrabba is an Italian illustrator and visual artist based in Milan. Her work explores the relationship between shapes, the space they inhabit, and the ways they interact, often pushing the female body toward its most amplified and distorted forms. She gravitates to archetypes and rounded contours, using them across figures and objects alike to build a world where femininity permeates every element. What captivates her is the societal construct that burdens women with constant self-scrutiny, and she magnifies the very body parts that tend to draw that attention, creating images that stay colorful while edging into subtle discomfort. Starrenco makes illustrations for grown up children and not quite mature adults, offering a playful, skewed version of a reality we already know.
