Erica Newton was born in Berkeley, CA. She received her MFA from the New York Studio School in 2022 and her BA from Bard College. In 2023, she was an artist in residence at the NYSS Project Space in Dumbo. Erica had her debut solo show, Never No Treasure, at Entrance Gallery in NYC in Spring 2024. In Spring 2025, she exhibited in Stretch Mark, a duo show at Ruby/Dakota Gallery, and has been included in numerous group exhibitions throughout Brooklyn and NYC. In the Summer of 2024, she attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. She currently has a studio in Brooklyn and regularly paints outside.
