Zafeiroula Simopoulou, also known as Zafouko Yamamoto, is a children’s book illustrator based in Greece. She studied Architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and uses tactile techniques such as colored pencil to render both the act of creation and its appreciation, an invitation to slow down and reconnect with the uninhibited making of childhood. Her inspiration comes from walks in nature, city scenes, and her community of artists.
